Professional harpist for weddings

Brenda is a unique and accomplished harpist available to book for weddings, parties and events. Her wide-spanning expertise and desire to constantly explore new directions for the harp make her a particularly exciting and innovative performer.

Originally from The Netherlands, Brenda received classical training in harp performance at the conservatories of Rotterdam and Cologne. Her early career highlights include positions in the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra. More recently, she has performed the Ceremony of Carols at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. Brenda has also cultivated creative partnerships with other musicians, such as free improvisation duos with violinist Sietse van Gorkom and bassoon player Marieke voor de Wind, and a collaboration with DJ/producer Cristopher Michelangoli.

As a harpist and educator, Brenda is a trailblazer in the music industry. Her composition “Bregar’s Guitar” has been published in the Wild Strings Jazz & Pop Harp Collection and included in the Trinity music exam syllabus. Additionally, Brenda is developing a blues harp teaching method and her ongoing research, teaching and composing endeavors are rapidly advancing her mission to establish a genuine voice for the harp in the Blues genre.
