This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we hold it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It covers clients and prospective clients, guests at the events we work at, visitors to this website, and the performers, crew and suppliers we engage.
1. The information we collect
If you enquire about or book us, we collect your name, contact details, billing address, the details of your event, the venue, timings, guest numbers, your music preferences and playlists, and any access or dietary requirements you tell us about for our own crew arrangements. We also keep our correspondence with you.
If you visit this website, we collect the information you enter into an enquiry form, together with technical information such as your IP address and how you use the site. Section 8 covers cookies.
If you are a guest at an event we work at, we may hold your name where it appears on a running order, a request or a message read out during the event. We may also capture your image in photographs or video, as described in section 4.
If you perform for us or supply us, we collect your name, contact details, payment details, and the documents we need to engage you lawfully and safely, such as insurance and PAT testing records.
We do not deliberately collect special category data. Where you tell us about a health condition or an access requirement so that we can plan around it, we use that information only for that purpose and delete it after the event.
2. Where we get it
Most of it comes directly from you. Some reaches us from your wedding planner, your venue, or the agency booking on your behalf. Some comes from a referral where someone has passed on your details with your knowledge.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interest is outweighed by your rights, and we have concluded it is not. You can ask us to explain that assessment.
4. Photographs and video
We sometimes take photographs and video at the events we work at, and we use them on this website, in proposals and on social media.
If you are our client, you can tell us in writing at any time before your event that you would prefer us not to, and we will not. Where an image identifies your guests rather than the setting or our own crew, we will ask you before using it.
If you are a guest and you would rather an image of you was not used, email info@mightyfine.events and we will remove it from anything we control.
5. Who we share it with
We share your information with the DJs, performers, production crew and suppliers working on your event, and only what they need to do their job.
Mighty Fine Live Production Ltd. We work alongside Mighty Fine Live Production Ltd, a separate company under the same ownership, registered in England under company number 15986497. Depending on the type of event and where it is held, your booking may be contracted and invoiced through that company rather than through us. Where that happens we pass your details to them so that they can quote for and deliver your event, and they become responsible for that information from that point. Each company is registered with the Information Commissioner in its own right, and their privacy notice is supplied with their booking documents.
We also use third party service providers who process information on our behalf, covering customer relationship management and event planning, email, cloud file storage, website hosting and analytics, payment processing, and accounting. Each is bound by a contract that limits them to acting on our instructions. We can give you a current list on request.
Visiting the website involves two further companies. Google receives information through Google Analytics and Google Ads where you have accepted those categories, as described in section 8, and through YouTube if you choose to play one of the artist videos on this site. Adobe receives your IP address when your browser loads our typefaces, which happens on every visit.
Where a claim or a dispute arises, we may share information with our insurers and our legal advisers. We will share information with a public authority where the law requires it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
6. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our service providers store information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely either on UK adequacy regulations covering the country concerned, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner. You can ask us which applies to a particular provider.

8. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use them in the following ways.
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working, remember what you have entered in a form, and keep it secure. These do not need your consent and cannot be turned off.
Analytics cookies tell us how people find and use the site, so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics for this.
Marketing cookies let us measure the performance of our Google Ads advertising and show relevant adverts to people who have visited the site.
Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie this site sets, what each one is for and how long it lasts. That list is kept current by a monthly scan of the site, so it is the place to look for the detail.
We ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Nothing in the analytics or marketing categories loads until you accept it, and declining means those services are never contacted at all. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on this site, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
Browser privacy signals. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we respect it. We treat it as a refusal of analytics and marketing, so nothing in those categories loads and you are not asked again.
Fonts and other embedded content. Some parts of this site are served by other companies. Our typefaces come from Adobe Fonts, so your browser requests them from Adobe and Adobe receives your IP address in the process. This sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. We treat it as necessary to display the site as it is designed, so it loads without asking first. Adobe’s own privacy policy explains how they handle that information. The artist videos on this site are hosted on YouTube and are held back until you accept marketing cookies, so nothing reaches YouTube unless you choose to let it.
9. How we protect it
We keep information on access controlled systems, we limit access to the people who need it, and we require our service providers to maintain appropriate security. No system is completely secure, and we will tell you and the Information Commissioner promptly if a breach occurs that is likely to affect you.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete information where we no longer need it
- ask us to restrict how we use it while a question about it is resolved
- object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests
- ask us to transfer it to another provider in a portable format, where that right applies
- withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent; and
- ask us not to send you marketing
To exercise any of these, email info@mightyfine.events. We will respond within one month. There is no charge in ordinary circumstances.
Some rights have limits. We may need to keep information to meet a legal obligation or to defend a legal claim, and we will explain it if that applies to your request.
11. Links to other sites
This site contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, and we would encourage you to read their own privacy policies.
12. If the business changes hands
If our business or part of it is sold or transferred, client and enquiry records may transfer with it. Any buyer would be bound to use that information in the ways described in this policy, and we would tell you before it happened.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at info@mightyfine.events so we can put it right.

We review this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Where we make a significant change, we will tell our clients directly.
