Julia
Harpist & Bagpiper
Both an experienced harpist and bagpipe player, Julia has been performing at weddings and events for many years and offers nothing but the highest in standards.
Julia comes from a family with a long heritage of playing the bagpipes, dating back to her grandfather who played for London Scottish and The Chingford Pipe Band back in the 50s!
With a wealth of experience playing an array of instruments over the last 40 years, including clarinet, guitar, piano, bagpipes and harp, Julia decided to specialise in the latter two, which she offers both individually and combined. A frequent package of Julia’s which couples like to opt for when booking pipers and harpists for their weddings, is to book the bagpipe player to greet guests on arrival and have the harp play during the drinks reception. In any case, Julia is very flexible and will work with you to find the best arrangement for you and your event.
Julia offers traditional Scottish music on the bagpipes and plays a Celtic Lyon and Healy Troubadour VI harp, rich in resonance. Her repertoire for harp comprises classical and traditional Scottish music, military, film/TV, light music, easy-listening and Pop and for both instruments, Julia can offer a bespoke setlist to cater for all manner of events.
TESTIMONIALS:
“We are so grateful to Julia for creating such a wonderful atmosphere at our wedding, by playing her harp so beautifully. Leading up to our special day, we found our engagement with Julia to be very professional and informative, she was able to provide a choice of music and suggestions to ensure we enjoyed every moment. Our guests were really impressed as well and complimented Julia’s performance. Thank you so much for everything.”

“She was amazing, and played absolutely beautifully. I wanted to wait to walk down the isle so I could hear her play more of the song that I loved, it made me so emotional hearing her play. Our guests loved her too, and all complimented on how well she played. I would recommend Julia for your event and she will always be my first piper to call for any future events.”
