Hedsor House
Luxury Wedding Venue in Buckinghamshire

Hedsor House stands above the Thames at Taplow, a Georgian house set in a hundred acres of Buckinghamshire parkland, and for one day it belongs entirely to you. Hedsor House has been called a dream wedding venue by both Tatler and Vogue.
We’ve been working at Hedsor for years now, and the building still rewards knowing it properly.
A Hedsor day moves through the house, room by room. Ceremonies happen in the Centre Hall under its domed ceiling, or outside on the South Lawn with the Thames Valley below you. Drinks follow in the Drawing Room or out on the terrace. The Ballroom, with its original wood panelling, seats up to 150 for the wedding breakfast.
The evening then starts in the Willingdon Bar, all mirrors and botanical wallpaper, before the party moves back into the Centre Hall.
That last move is the one worth planning around. The Centre Hall is a tall room with a mezzanine balcony running above it, and it holds your first dance and the main action for the rest of your night. Hedsor takes 150 guests through the day and up to 250 once the evening guests arrive, so the room fills as the night goes on.
It’s a room that takes lighting well. A starlit LED floor or uplighters turn it into something else entirely.
Hedsor is happy for couples to bring their own DJ or band, so you can choose the person you actually want running your evening.
That matters more than it sounds. Your DJ spends the longest stretch of the day with your guests, and it’s their work everybody remembers on the way home.
The day belongs to you, and everything we do follows from that.
We’ll talk through your music properly beforehand, using an online request system that lets you mark tracks as must play, play if possible, or do not play. You can also build your own list with our playlist builder. You get a planning sheet. We speak to Hedsor the week before to cross-check timings, and we build the evening around your spotlight moments so nothing important gets lost.
On the night you get a DJ who reads the room and stays out of the way, with no microphone chatter. Mark has been doing this for over forty years and judges at The Wedding Industry Awards, and every DJ on the team is chosen against that standard.
Beyond the DJ, our live entertainment roster covers string quartets, harpists, saxophonists and singers for the daytime, live bands and gospel choirs for the evening, and magicians, caricature artists and acrobats when you want something your guests won’t have seen before.
Plenty of couples at Hedsor pair a DJ with live musicians across the evening. We can put that together as a single booking, so you deal with one supplier. If a saxophonist alongside the decks is what you’re after, that’s our DJ Live setup.
Most Hedsor couples come to us twelve to eighteen months out, though we can often help at shorter notice. Pricing is tailored to your day, so the quickest way to find out is to tell us your date and what you have in mind.
We work across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties as wedding DJs, and Hedsor is one of the venues we know best.
