Luxury Wedding Venue in Berkshire

Wedding DJ at Stanlake Park barn wedding venue in Berkshire

Stanlake Park Wedding DJ & Entertainment

Stanlake Park is a working vineyard near Twyford in Berkshire, 130 acres of vines, listed buildings and countryside on an estate whose records run back to 1166, when it was part of the royal hunting grounds at Windsor. It is forty minutes from Paddington on the Elizabeth Line, which for a countryside venue is unusual.

We’ve been a recommended supplier here for five years, across around fifty weddings.

The Vineyard Barn

The party is always in the Vineyard Barn. It takes 150 for a ceremony and 180 for the wedding breakfast, and it is licensed for civil ceremonies, so a whole day can happen in one room.

Two things make it work after dark. The vaulted ceiling gives the room height and the sound somewhere to go. And the bar is a hop and a skip from the dance floor, which means nobody has to leave the party to get a drink. Rooms that keep everyone in the same space stay busier for longer.

Elsewhere on the estate, the Grade II listed Coach House takes up to 100 and looks onto the 16th-century stables and the walled garden. The Lawn is licensed for outdoor ceremonies with the vineyard behind you, and the Courtyard suits welcome drinks and canapés.

Music through the day

Stanlake is a venue where couples often want music long before the evening starts. We’re regularly asked for musicians for the ceremony, the drinks reception, or both, and we book those alongside the DJ so it is one arrangement.

A string quartet or a harpist in the Coach House or out on the Lawn, then the DJ in the Barn for the evening, is the shape a lot of Stanlake days take.

What we bring

We bring the gear. You choose the setup you want, and we build it for the room rather than dropping in a template.

Uplighting works well against the barn’s beams and is an addition to the DJ setup, quoted with the rest.

One practical note for your timeline: the vineyard is exceptional for photographs at golden hour. Worth agreeing with your photographer where that sits in the evening, because it usually falls close to when the dancing starts, and we can hold the room until you’re back.

How we work

The day belongs to you, and everything we do follows from that.

You’ll get an online request system for your music, where tracks are marked must play, play if possible, or do not play. You can also build your own list with our playlist builder. There’s a planning sheet, and we speak to the Stanlake team the week before to cross-check timings against theirs.

On the night, a DJ who reads the room and stays out of the way. No microphone chatter. Mark has been doing this for over forty years and judges at The Wedding Industry Awards.

Live entertainment

Beyond the daytime musicians, our entertainment roster covers live bands and gospel choirs for the evening, and magicians, caricaturists and acrobats when you want something your guests won’t have seen before.

A saxophonist playing over the decks suits a barn particularly well. That pairing is our DJ Live setup.

Talk to us

Most couples come to us twelve to eighteen months out, though we can often help at shorter notice. Pricing is tailored to your day, so tell us your date, rough guest numbers and what you have in mind for the ceremony and the evening.
