We were very impressed with Mark’s professionalism from our initial contact to the day of our wedding. The set up of the dance floor, lights, disco ball and room was better than even we expected, and we were thrilled to see the positive reactions from our guests when they entered the space. Mark did a brilliant job with the music, reading the room seamlessly and his experience definitely shone through. Thank you again Mark for ending our wedding on such a high!
Organising the music for your wedding can be a daunting task but Mark made the process genuinely enjoyable and Mighty Fine took all of the stress out of it. We met with Mark a few times on Zoom in the 6 months before the wedding to discuss the vibe we were looking for, and to understand the process. We then built our playlist through Mighty Fine’s online portal. In the week before the wedding we then had a few more quick calls with Mark to discuss final things, like where to set up, when to invite people on the dancefloor, and any last touches — we felt completely reassured by Mark’s expertise, which the week before your wedding is a big win! DJ Mark will read the room and change the music up to match the style. Mighty Fine don’t need much power to run their DJ set, they also bring lights and speakers in the hire fee at no extra cost. Overall, I highly recommend Mighty Fine Events to anyone planning their wedding — we and our guests had a fantastic night of dancing and it all went perfectly!
It was a pleasure working with Mark from Mighty Fine Events from beginning to end. Music plays such an important part in your special day and he understands this remit well. As well as the excellent service as a DJ he was able to connect us to Tomos, a brilliant harpist, for our ceremony which was perfect. Every meeting with Mark beforehand as well as all email communications were clear, supportive and offering his excellent advice to meet our brief. Despite a hot day for the wedding our dancefloor was still full and all guests loved the curated playlist Mark created based on our brief. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mark and Mighty Fine Events for your own. You’re in safe hands!
Mark and Mighty Fine Events have quickly become the sole place I will go to for any DJ I need. Our wedding DJ was critical to us — we had a very eclectic group of people and cultures, and trying to navigate how much of each genre to play, how much from each decade, was a big challenge. Mark spent so much time with us in the lead up, he was curious about us and our tastes, what we wanted on our night, there to advise but never push anything onto us, and from the very first conversation you could tell he was a master in his craft. He liaised with other suppliers on our behalf so that we had one less thing to worry about. He invited us to provide him some sample songs so that he could base an entire setlist from — and a flawless setlist did he create. Our wedding reception was spectacular because of Mark’s ability to read the room. He kept the energy high, the dance floor filled. He was impeccably organised; he transitioned from our first dance into the first dance with everybody flawlessly. He was enthusiastic, energising, talented and above all else, he was fun. Our guests had the best time and I put that down to Mark’s ability to keep everyone engaged and entertained, from the young kids to the aunts and uncles. Booking Mark was one of the best decisions we ever made.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Our outdoor wedding was in the middle of a bluebell forest, with separate areas for ceremony, speeches and dancefloor, so we had quite a complicated set of needs which could have proved challenging, but Mark handled everything with professionalism, adaptability and a lot of support! This made such a difference, and meant we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Friends and family noted how perfectly the music flowed throughout: from the laid-back festival vibes in the morning, to the energetic dance floor in the evening, Mark played the room perfectly. Even though we had some slightly unorthodox music choices — video game soundtrack processionals, nu-metal breakouts that could have cleared the dancefloor — Mark was unphased and managed to weave these in seamlessly, creating some truly stand-out moments throughout. We would definitely recommend Mighty Fine Events to other couples planning their wedding, or any other large functions!
Mark — what a dance floor! We’ve had so many compliments on just how in tune Mark was to our audience and crowd, they absolutely loved it. We were a little unorganised sorting music and Mark just knew from a few songs and loose direction how to keep the party going. We felt super supported throughout the process with a fantastic AV set up. Can’t recommend Mark enough!
Mark did an amazing job DJing at our wedding! He was immensely organised and proactive in the run up to the event, always making time to speak to us and discuss plans. He offered fantastic advice throughout, helping with details we hadn’t even thought of. On the day itself, despite a few plans changing on the fly, Mark was incredibly adaptable and truly helped to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Absolutely amazing DJ (Gary), he was really nice and easy to talk to leading up to our wedding, with meetings to go through our likes and dislikes and got lots of good advice on how to structure our evening. On the day he was great, really understood what we wanted and was great at mixing in guest requests, it was exactly the right vibe we wanted for our wedding. Highly recommended.
Absolutely stellar service! We booked Mark for our wedding DJ and couldn’t have been more grateful and happy for the high quality service Mark delivered. Not only was it such a smooth and easy process of picking the music, but the organisation, attention to detail and communication was flawless. For a couple who constantly worry about everything, Mark came through and took such a big weight off our shoulders. To the planning calls we had, getting to know each other and making sure that all areas were covered, to just allowing us on the day to go off and enjoy our day whilst Mark did his craft — that is something we really appreciate. Our guests loved the music, it flowed so perfectly with the night! The whole evening was just amazing, our favourite part was probably our first dance song and also the end of the night when the DJ got everyone on the dance floor. We found Mark at Mighty Fine Events through Google, not really knowing much about wedding music or what to expect, and we only had 4 months to organise our wedding. Our initial call with Mark immediately made us feel we were in very safe hands. Mighty Fine Events helped with our music from start to finish — through Mark’s vast list of contacts we chose a violinist for the ceremony and DJ for the evening. Every part of the day was broken down so we could have exactly what we wanted, played when we wanted it. Naomi our violinist had huge reviews from our guests; she was sparkly, she moved around the guests seamlessly and just played so beautifully. Mark DJ’d through the evening and kept the dancefloor filled. He got who we were and what we liked but catered to suit everyone and was appropriately conscious that the music hit the right tone throughout the night. Mark made our wedding — we were thrilled to have him and Naomi part of our day and are so grateful. Thank you Mighty Fine Events!
Mark was fantastic from start to finish. One of our bridesmaids sang live for both the bride and father dance and our first dance. Mark was incredibly helpful in making that work seamlessly that night, which made those moments even more special. Since my bride’s family is mostly Bolivian, he also wove a great mix of Latin songs into the evening, which went down brilliantly with both sides and kept the dance floor full all night. Above all, he was completely professional and made the whole process worry-free; we never had to worry about the music once. We’d recommend Mighty Fine Events without hesitation to any couple planning their wedding.
We chose Mark at Mighty Fine to provide the evening entertainment at our wedding at Wasing Park this year and we could not have been happier with how our wedding went. Mighty Fine Events are the best of the best! Mark is a fantastic DJ. Every guest from our wedding commented on how good the music was. When you’re alternative and have a very varied taste in music, picking a wedding DJ can be very daunting. Mark put all those worries at ease. After a bad meeting with another DJ who told us our ideas were dated, we went back to Google and found Mark. Not only was he way more reasonably priced, he was such a pro! We explained that we’d like some of our own choices — especially the classic pop punk anthems of our youth — but we also wanted cheesy disco, 80s classics and a good chunk of Northern Soul and Tamla Motown. Mark got it. The dancefloor was full from the minute Mark started playing until the very end, and considering our eclectic requests this was no mean feat! Mark was as gregarious and approachable as you’d want a DJ to be — he didn’t spend all night on the mic and actually worked the room. All our guests loved this. Even our wedding venue Ashton Lodge said for a Monday wedding the place was bouncing! This guy knows his music, knows his clients and loves his job. If you have any events coming up, book Mark — you will not regret it!

We were lucky enough to have Gary as our DJ for our wedding at the weekend just gone. He did an amazing job and the dance floor was never empty. On the day most of the songs we had requested were played and some were done as brilliant mash-ups, which was a real treat. It showed that you can trust the company to do more than just play a playlist. In the build-up the consultation was great and all details were discussed so on the day there were no issues and it all went smoothly. The physical set-up and lighting was perfect too and worked well with the rest of the wedding set-up. Couldn’t recommend them more — thanks again.
We cannot recommend Mark and Mighty Fine Events more for their music offerings. Mark DJ’d our October wedding at The Princess of Wales pub in Primrose Hill and he went above and beyond to help us plan the day, put our minds at ease, and help deliver magical moments — including my dance with my dad which is one of the most special memories from the day. The dancefloor for our wedding was a very tight space, but Mark set up a professional DJ deck and delivered excellent sound and lighting with no complaints. Thank you so much, Mark! Hopefully we can find another excuse to hire you again soon!
